Temét McMichael, PhD, is a member of the La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians and has been passionate about science and human health since he was a kid. Temét obtained his B.S. in biochemistry from California State University San Marcos and his PhD from The Ohio State University where he studied infectious diseases. Temét has been a part of many extracurricular societies and held multiple fellowships as a scientist including the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Gilliam fellowship, and the American Society for Microbiology Robert D. Watkins fellowship. He is the current CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer assigned to Public Health – Seattle & King County, where he has been stationed since 2019.

Temét is faculty with the COVID-19 ECHO Program which is designed to connect I/T/U clinicians, administrators, and staff with up-to-date information on clinical care and emerging health topics.
