In this series of presentations, moderator Bill Adams, MSN, RN, CDCES, CCHW, NHDP-BC, Area CHR Consultant with the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (IHS), welcomes speaker LCDR Whitney Moseley, BSN, RN who is a LCDR for the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and serves as the Health Promotion Disease Prevention (HPDP) Coordinator and Area CHR Consultant for the Oklahoma City Area IHS. LCDR Whitney Moseley opens with a broad overview of the National CHR Strategic Plan, developed to support the vision and intended actions of the National CHR Program. The primary goal of the Strategic Plan is to enhance CHR efforts in supporting the health and well-being of AI/AN individuals, families, and communities. LCDR Whitney Moseley describes how Tribal CHR programs may adapt and prioritize the goals, objectives, and strategies in ways that align with community and program needs, and also shares how key partners may also use the Strategic Plan to understand and support the CHR Program’s priorities for expanding the provision of comprehensive and culturally affirming services for AI/AN communities. At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the National CHR Strategic Plan and the impact on the CHR workforce in Tribal communities
  2. Describe the opportunities for CHR Programs to contribute to priority areas to support CHR integration.
