Ending the Syndemic Clinical Training – Effectively Integrating OUD/SUD Services (Winnebago)

Healthcare professionals serving American Indian & Alaska Native communities were invited to participate in the Ending the Syndemic: Effectively Integrating Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) Services ECHO programs. The program provides the rationale, program design, and tools that can be used by healthcare clinicians, staff and tribal decision makers to develop and enhance programs to address the epidemic of the opioid crisis, and syndemic of interrelated disease states of Hepatitis C Virus, HIV, Substance Use Disorders, and Sexually Transmitted Infections; specifically the program will provide comprehensive guidance for the Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System and Carl T. Curtis Health Center to smoothly incorporate evidence-based treatment and management of SUD, and OUD, into their everyday clinical practice. Participants had the opportunity to interact with experienced providers, join a supportive learning community, and engage in subsequent virtual ECHO programs. CE credits are available.
