Dr. Jerrica Kirkley, MD is the co-founder and chief medical officer of Plume, the largest digital health company exclusively dedicated to providing gender-affirming medical care and transition support services to trans and gender diverse people. Since its founding in 2019, the company has served more than 17,500 patients across the United States. Dr. Kirkley completed medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her family medicine residency at the University of Colorado. She has taught widely on gender-affirming care at academic institutions and large clinic systems, and has cared for thousands of gender-diverse individuals. Dr. Kirkley has also been a recipient of gender-affirming care as a patient and trans woman herself — and through Plume, hopes to transform healthcare for all trans people.
