Dr. Allison Empey

Dr. Allison Empey

Allison Empey was raised in McMinnville, Oregon and is a citizen of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. She spent 10 years in California attending Stanford University for her undergraduate, working as a healthcare consultant, and attending University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. She was excited to return home to Oregon near her family, tribe and the beautiful landscape of the Pacific Northwest. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) attending in the newborn nursery and practices one day per week in her own tribal clinic. Empey is also the Deputy Director of the Northwest Native American Center of Excellence at OHSU. Her professional interests include general pediatrics, newborn care, Native American health, community engagement, and mentorship for underrepresented minorities in healthcare. Outside of the clinic, Allison enjoys running, getting to know Portland coffee shops, and hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
