This didactic is presented by Oona Krieg, Shawna Blomskog, and Dana Fleetham. Brave Technology Co-Op has created multiple tools for overdose detection, including the Brave App, which is available for Android and Apple devices. The app can help people anonymously and privately connect to a Brave Supporter before they use drugs alone. Users can create a rescue plan and stay on the line with a Brave Supporter while they use drugs, until the user feels safe. This presentation reviews the Brave Technology Co-Op and their overdose detection tools, including how the Brave App was created and how it works for overdose detection. This is an opportunity to learn more about the Brave App and other overdose detection tools offered by Brave technology Co-Op, so that you can educate the people you serve and help them stay safe when they use drugs.
