In this presentation, Dr. Laura Gibbons, DO, MS, Family Medicine and Obstretics Physician serving at Wind River Family and Community Healthcare, will explore how to identify patient centered reproductive goals, as well as the challenges and opportunities for accessing contraception in Indian Health Service, Tribal and Urban Indian clinics. Dr. Gibbon’s also discusses considerations for clinician counseling for contraception care, and current contraception options. The one-hour Grand Rounds session includes an opportunity to engage in a didactic presentation, gain insight on how Indian Health Service, Tribal and Urban Indian (I/T/U) facilities may effectively integrate contraceptive care, become part of a learning community, join a Care and Access for Pregnant People ECHO Program, and ask questions about navigating contraceptive care in Indigenous healthcare systems.
