In this series of presentations, ECHO faculty members Leslie Stewart, MD, Infectious Diseases physician for Chinle Hospital (Navajo Nation), and Heather Huentelman, Clinical Pharmacist at Phoenix Indian Medical Center will share an overview and their story of why they chose to start providing Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) – a highly effective and safe intervention that prevents the transmission of HIV.

Leslie Stewart, MD,is an Infectious Diseases physician who has worked in Chinle, Arizona since 2018. She has a special interest in pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV (PrEP) and HIV care. She completed her Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases training at the University of Pennsylvania where she is an adjunct assistant professor. Leslie is lead faculty for the PrEP ECHO Program, which is is designed to support I/T/U clinicians in integrating PrEP services into their care.
Heather Huentelman, PharmD, is a clinical pharmacist at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center. Heather is lead faculty for the PrEP ECHO Program, which is is designed to support I/T/U clinicians in integrating PrEP services into their care.
