In this series of presentations, Lisa Griggs, Tribal Community Health Provider Project (TCHP) Manager at the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB), provides an overview of the TCHP project. Dental Health Aide Education Specialist
Kari Ann Kuntzelman (Chickasaw Nation), graduated from the Alaska Dental Therapy Education Program earning an Associates of Applied Science focusing on Dental Health Aide Therapy in 2019. Kari is a Dental Health Aide Therapist and now the Dental Health Aide Education Specialist with the Tribal Community Health Provider Project. Kari hopes to inspire others to become interested in Dental Therapy and to represent the tribal community in the Dental field. She is very passionate about Minimally Invasive Dentistry as it uses evidence based research to practice good dentistry.
Katie Hunsberger

Katie (she/her) is a member of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and her homelands are the areas around and within the Sedona desert. Katie has worked closely with Indigenous peoples in various parts of the world for the last 10 years. She is the Co-Deputy Chair for Caring & Living As Neighbours (CLAN), based in Sydney, Australia and she is currently working at the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board as the Behavioral Health Aide Program Manager. She works closely with Native adults and youth interested in pursuing behavioral health in Tribal communities to provide holistic, culturally-specific, and trauma-informed care. Katie strives to weave in Indigenized knowledge frameworks and theories to decolonize minds and create systems of care for our future generations.
